Here's what we figured out:

1. She noticed that I was done eating by the time I got back, and figured that onigiri is one of the few convenience-store foods that allows this.

2. I always have something sweet after something savory.

3. When I buy chocolate, there is usually some left over, but in this case I brought nothing back, eliminating that possibility.

4. Cream puffs are next to the caramelized custards in the refrigerator case at the store.

Although I like AG's explanation better ;)

3 highly possible reasons:

1. you still stank of nigiri and creme when you kissed her on the way back home.

2. unlike you, she takes out the office trash from time to time, and your loot was still on top.

3. specks of nori and drops of creme on your beard?
